FaultA Poem by FiniteA revised and extended version of an old poem I wrote. It's my fault, I confess to the pain Failed to save them, I’m to blame. I carry blame, Heavy as a stone Their fate sealed, Now I'm alone. Should've been me, Caught in the storm's embrace Now I go aimlessly, Wandering helplessly without a place. In the wind, I'm a paper-thin leaf, Flying to an end, Drowning in grief. I'm to blame, Left them in the rain Faults echo, Driving me insane. Stuck in my thoughts, So full of disdain Hear my song, Desperate to shine through my pain. © 2024 Finite |
