Ants

Ants

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

Sand atop grain of sand is a home built.

"

Sand atop grain of sand

is a home built.

One by one, each singular entity

carries his load to

the right place.

All is perfect.

Without warning,

they are interrupted

by a hand that comes down

to disturb their world.

The hand pulls them apart,

tears up their home,

and kills all except one.

The hands frees this one

and leaves to play with them

another day.
