Healed By a Kiss

When the lights have dimmed,

they will have all gone away

into the depths of night,

far away from my reach.

The red creeps along the ground,

licking my toes.

Its poison sears my skin;

I jump away from its eternal agony.

Upon its touch, tears spring

into my eyes.

When will the pain release?

 

Far away from the red I wish to be.

Still, it is so close.

It is the agony inside,

that which I cannot escape from.

It chokes me, and I

cannot breathe.

I believe I am lost,

but someone finds me.

Their arms embrace me

and I feel warmth.

It drives away the red,

the blood from the

torn wounds in my heart,

and heals everything

with a single kiss.

This reminds me of those black and white films that end with a first kiss. It's a treat to read your writing. It allows me to know what's going inside your head. I call your type of writing, thought process, rather than poetry. It contains the same speed that you think. And it's everything that went through your head, whereas poetry doesn't contain as much as it allows. This is good E.V.
