Pretty Poison

Pretty Poison

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

What Poison has to hide, I shall never know.

"

What Poison has to hide,

I shall never know.

Its defenses are risen

to the world,

high-strung barriers

to delay the enemies.

Alas, all enemies

fall down dead.

Its eyes, shineless black,

scream through me

into shodden terror.

No taste of Poison

remains because

the tongue is dead.

Poison.

Figure flowing and seamless,

green and tireless,

eyes of deep ink,

you are pretty.

All around you die,

but you remain alive.

I may never know

your thoughts.

Pretty Poison,

kiss my lips just once

and tell me that

you are not the end.

No end will come

unless I allow it.

Sounds dark until the end making it sound like a relationship where you're asking for more control, seeking assurances that he will never leave. Love it, keep em' coming
