Part III: Love

Part III: Love

A Chapter by E.V. Black
"

We have forgotten what was wholly beautiful.

"

We have forgotten

what was wholly beautiful

and true in nature.

What we eat

is as artificial

as a spray-on tan.

Our food takes

a desirous guise,

yet it taints us

from the inside out.

Our bodies consume

that artificial energy

and use it to power

our machinery.

We become no more

or less

than what we created.

We are what we eat.

The whole food,

freely given to us

by our mother, Nature,

is Earth’s love

and prepared with respect

at the literal hands

of farmers who raised

the plants and animals.

Food measured by love,

by mothers,

and eaten with family

in a sit-down dinner.

We have forgotten

what we were

in the last century

than in the past

two millenniums.

What is the price

of processed?

Is it worth it to die

of a gluttonous appetite?

Is it right to starve

for the whole food?

Finally,

why are we so willing

to forget?
