A Poem by E.V. Black
"

All that seemed true is but a shadow compared to that vision.

"

I thought I knew

what I wanted.

To be someone great!

To be apart of

history itself.

Then, something slid

across my vision.

I deemed myself false

and wanted that thing.

All that seemed true

is but a shadow compared

to that vision.

It removed me and

left in its absence

an aching wake that pines

for its presence.

Was I meant to be

a weak fool?

Is this a mirage?

To remove me from passion

takes great power.

Surely, I rest under

the thing’s power.

Its alluring song

renders logic mute and

entrances my senses.

Only this is what I want.

Can we always have what we want? Is that something always solidly focused?
Things can change.

Love the Marylin Manson way this is worded and given to the reader. Not metal, but death metal.
Lovely,
