Ice and Fire

Ice and Fire

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

What danger lay in the meeting of extremes!

"

Ice and fire met

in the clash of lips.

Winter probed Summer

so gently as not

to freeze her.

Summer’s body

burned and churned

with a clinging passion

that ached to escalate.

What danger lay

in the meeting of extremes!

Summer’s fire willed not

to melt Winter’s ice.

Their death,

though not yet there,

would be by

the arms of each other.

It reminds me of something I wrote, actually. It was about Autumn's love of Spring and Winter's jealousy of their relationship. My review is basically the same as the one below, it would just be saying the same thing in more words. Nice work.

E.V. Love this... the imagery is grand, I love the affair of fire & ice/ summer and winter. Too cool for words. Great Job!!!!
