This Kiss

Heart racing,

blood pumping.

This kiss is a first.

Surprising but expected,

beautiful and pleasant.

Full of enough

to write an ode to.

 

In this kiss,

I give myself to you.

Safe in your arms,

I know I can trust you.

Will you break my heart

like all the others?

Maybe.

I would rather not

cast a thought to that.

I just want this kiss.
