Real and True

I never thought I could feel like this.

When your hand touched mine,

I felt something inside.

Never had I thought

that I could feel like this.

Such hope I had!

and surely not wasted.

 

What I feel now,

with your hand in mine

and lips caressing these,

is real and true.

Fool I was to doubt that.

Author's Note

This poem, and a few others that follow, will be about romance. The reason is because I have a character in a very conflicting friendship/romance at the moment in a continuous story. So, reflecting her feelings, those poems will also be conflicting.
