A Few WordsA Poem by E.V. BlackCome with me and bless me with your words.Come with me and bless me with your words. Don’t you see? That’s all I long for: to hear your wonderful voice.
Alas, you are reluctant and claim not to have time. It shall not take that long. Only a few words do I want to be whispered at a time. Surely you won’t deny me that? I am pulled in by your honey sentences, but I am repelled by your standoffish tone.
I won’t come closer if you don’t want me. I won’t touch you nor will I beg you. I just ask for a few words. © 2011 E.V. BlackAuthor's Note
