Mouth

Mouth

A Poem by E.V. Black

You run that mouth

acting like you’re so hot.

But you’re not.

To me, your words are wrong.

They sound bitter,

and I don’t want

that bitterness in me.

Yes, I love you.

I tolerate you, too,

but there’s only so much

I can take.

Just leave me here

and grant me

peace of mind

so that I can have

a lovely day.

Sometimes people talk when they shouldn't. Sometimes I don't agree with what they say.

Love the opening and the ending, the way so many think only of themselves and see not the pain and trouble they place on others lives, you really express your emotions well in such short pieces. Keep em' coming
