Sleeping LightlyA Poem by E.V. BlackA short poem about Sleeping Beauty.Sleeping lightly on a bed made of air lies a girl with golden hair. Her lips are as red as the briar rose. Springtime follows her steps everywhere she goes.
Before came a villain who caused many fears, who put her under a sleep for one hundred years.
Then came a prince who sought her hand in marriage. He gently laid upon her lips a kiss. She awoke and fell in love. Sleeping Beauty, happily wed, rode off in their royal carriage. © 2011 E.V. BlackAuthor's Note
