Sleeping Lightly

Sleeping Lightly

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

A short poem about Sleeping Beauty.

"

Sleeping lightly on

a bed made of air

lies a girl

with golden hair.

Her lips are as red

as the briar rose.

Springtime follows her steps

everywhere she goes.

Before came a villain

who caused many fears,

who put her under a sleep

for one hundred years.

Then came a prince who

sought her hand in marriage.

He gently laid upon

her lips a kiss.

She awoke and fell in love.

Sleeping Beauty,

happily wed,

rode off in their royal carriage.

Back in the day, I wasn't very good at rhyming. Yes, this is another old piece. x3
It's about Sleeping Beauty. I don't know why I wrote this, but it's pretty cool. Every girl's fantasy.
