A Soul of My Own

A Soul of My Own

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

I have worn the tests of time...

"

The darkest soul sparkles

with the sand of time

that scratch it.

Slowly, it becomes sharper.

Clearer to see.

This soul, so lethal,

is none else but

that of mine.

I have worn the

tests of time and

have survived what all

the world has flung

at me.

I am no longer

a naive mind that

blindly follows and conforms.

I am a soul of my own.

Alright, I think that this poem is a little too uptight.
You're smart, and that's a fantastic thing, but you're forcing too much of it into your poetry.
"that of mine"
For some reason, this is extremely irritating to me...simply because you're trying to sound super-duper smart.
So hold back on that, Besides that, I didn't find anything else wrong with it, and I honestly think that this piece is qute good :) Bravo! :)
