Eye See

Eye See

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

Eyes don't lie; eye see.

"

More than anything,

I would like to see

through your eyes.

I can't feel for others,

but if I could be you,

maybe then that would change.

They say seeing is believing,

and I won't really believe

you until I see it.

Eyes see now,

more feeling beyond words

do they convey.

The rainbow colors

flash and fleck,

gracefully moving in an

emotional dance.

Older,

the wiser,

the weaker.

Younger,

the ignorant,

the stronger.

What truth lies in your eyes?

Can you tell a lie without

being caught?

My eyes have seen

everything there is to see.

I'm sure your eyes

do a much better job

of confessing than the

words that tumble

from your tongue.

Eye see the truth

within the truth.

Eyes don't lie;

they can tell you

secrets you never

even dared to know.

They can look straight

through you into your soul

and determine what

you are thinking.

Eye don't lie;

eye see.

I so love this, Loved the first stanza so much.
I also loved the last few lines, such a truthful write.
So nicely expressed.
