Flutter

Flutter

A Poem by E.V. Black

Swiftly as time as time goes by,

sun and moon and stars collide.

The flowers dance in the sun

singing sweetly one by one.

The grasses, green and bright,

shine deep emerald in sunlight.

Nothing will harm you,

nothing could.

Under gentle skies blue,

I protect you, so nothing would.

Flutter by,

butterfly.

Swiftly as time goes by,

sun and moon and stars collide.

Nothing will harm you

and so nothing can.

Butterfly,

flutter by

gently as a breeze.

Love can heal the broken heart

with patience and ease.

E.V. Black
My attempt at writing a lullaby. Probably more like a poem than anything.
