GentlyA Poem by E.V. BlackNo rush for me.The birds faintly chirp as the sun begins to sink below the horizon. A light shade of darkness hangs over the world. Greenery grows, revealing that spring has come at last.
The darkness of winter is long gone, melted away into a breathtaking paradise. It’s here that I lie, my hair loose from its bindings that a cool, pure breeze sweeps through it and across my skin. I breathe gently, more easily than before.
I close my eyes; the world passes by. No rush for me. I go slowly, gently, trying to see the world. All of this poetry in motion…I’m glad I haven’t missed it.
Sometimes we go faster and faster until it feels like we can’t stop and… The snow white petals of the trees lie in the grass around me. Dusk comes slowly, gently as night comes. Here it’s a balance of life, light and dark. There is no “good” nor “evil.”
As we move slowly, slowly… And still so gently, there is only peace. © 2011 E.V. Black |
