One Azure Fantasy

One Azure Fantasy

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

I love blue, don't you?

"

Waters

delve unto me,

purify me

of the world's

impurities

Sky

I fly high

above reality

and into a

fairyland

Breeze

brush against me,

cool my skin

of the hot

sun

Cold

tastes clean and

pure of fallacy

that reaps me of my

essence

Evening

almost dark and

near frigid, rainbow

colors painting the

horizon

Ethereal

angelic, sapphire heaven,

calling me into its

depths; one azure fantasy to

mesmerize

This was written for a poetry club. The challenge was to write a poem about a color. I chose blue.
