SalvationA Poem by E.V. BlackThe question of a true salvation. Her warm rays of hope willnever fall upon this face of darkness, my face. And even if I wanted it as bad as to keep my life, I would. It's not true. They can't decipher what the meaning of this is.
Keep salvation at bay, from saving my soul. Let the darkness spread and consume, swallowing everything in its path. We, and I, have nobody here. I am alone in this till the very end. Nobody wants to come near. Lady Salvation, I draw away from your touch, I beseech your gracious name in scorn. Leave me be forever, for eternity. Don't see me like this. And, no, I won't repent for your sake. I like this way. It's my savior.
You are not my savior. If ever a true savior existed, I would go to him. The darkness of reality is all I can see. You see? I see no faith, but death and rape and drugs. Where is salvation? Where is Jesus? Where is God? Cure the pain, I am sure, My Lord. Repent, they say. Repent before me! Repent...or go to hell.
