SenseA Poem by E.V. BlackHere I am, awaiting Judgement Day.Improbable unpredictable senses spinning me into a fine frenzy.
Sharp taste on the tongue Severely burns me. It flows down my throat. Chills cascade down my spine; I can feel the wind upon my skin. Smelling the sweat of the run, of the chase. So much that I can’t hold back now. Fall back onto the ground and hearing the mocking laughter. So much that I can’t deny. All the lies wasted on me.
Only I can see the demons that lurk within the shadows. Here they follow me, there they go and disappear. I can feel them watching me behind my back. They’re always watching me. Senses tingle and pierce me with warnings, and instincts know what is to come.
