Silent SpiritA Poem by E.V. BlackShe was invisible.Keeping watch from those dark corners, keeping silent in a crowd. No one can see her; invisibility is her element. Blending the one being so she can't be seen.
The silent spirit closes her eyes and feels the pounding emptiness through her transparent body. She sighs; it is too soft to be heard. This world of noise keeps her at bay. She doesn't know what to say, what words to say, or how to begin. Is it always this hard to become something?
She keeps quiet, a silent spirit in a world of noise. She has so much to say, but her mind is blank. Something more is wanted here; something to break her silence. Can it be? A ray of color dawns on her dark, secluded corner. What is this? Bright eyes smile down into hers for the first time ever. She smiles, allowing light to fill her.
A new age of light blesses her and lets her become the something she has always wanted. The vow of silence made in that corner long ago has now been broken. New life has found the spirit. She is a ghost no longer, but something more.
