So, SoA Poem by E.V. BlackThe search for happiness.Days pass and I can hardly believe what a waste of time this is. Just a few more days of wishing, I think. What's there to wish for? If I can't gain anything, then I'm lost. If I can't have you, then I'm alone. Lost and alone or "so, so."
I keep wanting, wishing for someone to come around. Look at me! I whisper to the crowd. But no one even turns to glance at the lonely girl within herself. Invisible, unreachable... tell me, is that all I am? If I can't gain anything, then I'm lost. If I can't have you, then I'm alone. Lost and alone. Both sad and "so, so."
Love is all I'm asking for, affection all that I crave, and if I keep it in it'll go down with me to my grave. So, so... tell me or at least look at me before life passes by too soon. Hold me tender, hold me sweet 'cause I ache for you beside me. If I gain something, then I have a purpose. If I have you, then I'm full. Happy and true and so not "so, so." © 2011 E.V.
