Lost

Lost

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

I could still be lost.

"

I would be lost.

Wouldn’t I be lost?

If I never saw the sun shine

in my eyes,

maybe then I would realize

how important you were.

I was blinded by

my arrogance

and failed to realize how

fragile we were.

How could I take

this bond for granted?

I should have known

better than to

push you away.

Forever lost.

How can I trust myself?

Or trust you?

It doesn’t add up.

I could still be lost

because of you

because of me.
