Under the Witch's HatA Poem by E.V. BlackIs it Halloween yet? They call me goth, they call me emo, or just plain “weird.” I know what I am and I am me. Under the witch’s hat I wear I see a girl selling herself for the pleasure of others. The black brim shadows this haunted face of mine.
Is it Halloween yet? The night of mischief and mayhem? The outcasts of the world feel so alone in their dark hearts. Under the witch’s hat you see shadowing a haunted face, these eyes see the pain of the world It’s not easy being me.
You don’t want to see what’s under the witch’s hat. © 2011 E.V. BlackAuthor's Note
