![]() CatharsisA Poem by E.V. Black![]() Only in the music do we set ourselves free.![]() Emotions spilling out all over the place, restricted only by the black heart within. What do you dare do to purge yourself? Vomit the poison from your system and face the bitter truth that you’re all alone in this world. That you’re absolutely nothing.
The music nauseates our black hearts, enticing them to reveal secrets too forbidden to give up. We don’t know ourselves. We are our worst enemies. Don’t you see? As the darkness consumes us, the music grows louder and louder minute by minute. The seconds creep by before we finally remember ourselves.
We are our own enemies.
Betray yourself in the midst of the catharsis. Swallow the darkness whole and make it apart of you. Never say never. You’ll die if you do.
Our ends are determined by that one fate, the red thread of fate only we pull, which binds us together in a crimson web of lies. Don’t let yourself find you in your black heart filled with the ultimate darkness. We are our sins with greedy whims and flying tongues of the utmost evil.
Only in the music do we set ourselves free.
There’s only so much time before we find our inevitable ends in the hypnotizing embrace of the catharsis. © 2011 E.V. BlackAuthor's Note
