Rough Diamond

Rough Diamond

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

She hoped.

"

Bitter tears of loneliness tore

her heart apart

into tiny little scraps,

which sank heavily

even in a gentle wind.

All she wanted was

someone to care what happened to her.

She knew there were people

who did indeed love her,

but her aching eyes

were blind to that realization.

But, even in the darkness of

her self, she kept

a rough diamond of hope.

Even in the worst of times, it's extremely hard to keep hope. But, keep that hope locked away inside of you for later. You never know when you might need it. :)
