Frozen

Frozen

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

She wants what she can't have.

"

Can’t feel,

can’t see through

the blinding white.

Never sees and

never comprehends

warm emotions that

swirl around like snow.

The warmth inside

that burns and flares,

melting the cold away.

It leaves her feeling

naked and vulnerable

inside and out.

The bleeding barrier

between her

and the world

can never be broken

by the silence

of her winter.

All she can do

is watch as her

heart breaks in two.

Want what she

can’t have.

Wonders what it’s like.

Waiting, frozen, for

something that will

never come.

Author's Note

E.V. Black
That long time ago I talk about so much was cold and unfeeling. I didn't understand other people and I felt as if there was a barrier between me and the world. I was cold and unfeeling, not understanding the feelings of others. Now, it is different.
I can feel.
