Dark Beauty

Dark Beauty

A Poem by E.V. Black
"

She walks in darkness.

"

She walks in darkness.

Her eyes radiate pain and woe.

Her voice is melancholy as she sings to herself.

Her long, black hair rustles limply about her morbid face.

Her eyes radiate pain and woe as

tears fill them, and she thinks of her sorrowful ordeal.

As she perches on a cliff,

hate fills her heart when she thinks of him, her lover.

Tears fill her eyes as she thinks of her sorrowful ordeal.

Time seems to slow as she stands there on the edge.

Hate fills her heart as she thinks of him, her lover.

Freezing rain pours down onto her from the heavens above.

Time seems to slow as she stands there on the edge.

Her voice is melancholy as she sings to herself.

Freezing rain pours down onto her from the heavens above.

She walks in darkness.

This is quite an old piece of work I wrote at the age of twelve or so. It is about a young woman who, betrayed by her lover, goes wandering near a cliff as it rains.
