Sweet Victorian TemperA Poem by E.V. BlackA sweet Victorian temper turns her features from quietly obscure to a terrifying creature. The sweet demeanor of a Victorian lady is strongly keener and gently carefree.
when she is dared; her demure way is severely pared.
One must cower in deepest fear. Her temper does tower to the highest tier.
A sweet Victorian temper turns her features from quietly obscure to a terrifying creature.
The volcano spits and boils within, spewing violent fits at unfair sin.
Her eyes burn as she looks `round. The innocent turn and the guilty drown
in a fiery rage that kindles like Hell. They’re trapped in a cage water can’t quell.
Then does she calm, silence after a storm. Her sweetness is a balm, making all feel warm.
Do not strenuously rile the Victorian lady, for her biting bile will become your malady. © 2013 E.V. BlackAuthor's Note
