ColorsA Poem by E.V. BlackI wish to dream in colors that never were.I wish to dream in colors that never were. Perhaps they did once exist in a faraway realm that I dreamed.
In my mind, the colors were once apart of me. A mood ring of shifting, changing, and rainbow tides. Specific to my person, the colors were of no other. Never did I utter a single word for the colors knew how I felt.
In that world, every person had their own colors. Some did not exist in the spectrum of reality. Some were shades the eye did not recognize and the mind could not conceive. These shades had tones and shadows of light and dark melding into another. They were never one or were the same. Each color was its own unique entity.
I long to see these colors again. In reality, I can never imagine them for they do not exist. I desired to know what they know. I never can. © 2013 E.V. BlackAuthor's Note
