Oppressed by "The Man"

the internet, Google and Writerscafe.org can be a wonderful thing

You were oppressed by “The Man” for so long

That you withdrew from your physical life

 

You held in your wonderful thoughts and passionate ideas

Keeping them only for yourself and the electron world

 

“Friends” read, listened, came and went

You shared your deepest most hidden thoughts with them

 

Without knowing that Carla was really Carl or

If the one you desired really wanted you or just your personal data

 

So many feelings were tucked away in Gore’s creation

So many feelings that I needed to hear

 

Thank goodness for tools and techniques

Long forgotten by an old bulletin board amateur

 

Or were they really subtle hints you purposely left behind

Longing for me to hear your innermost thoughts

 

I was able to read over and over again what you needed me to hear

What I needed to hear for so long

 

The woman I fell in love with was alive

Now I am alive as I have found my soul mate once again

 

The feeling of new love is back from a ten year hiatus

Most would do anything to feel that again, to find what I have found

 

Reading your book, your writings and your feelings

Fills my soul with the nourishment I have needed for ages

 

Everyday I look for more

Please don’t stop
