Dear SantaA Poem by MaireadA little Christmas poem I wrote when I was feeling in a humorous mood.Dear Santa,
I sent you a letter months ago, Addressed it to the North Pole, I've been a good girl all year through, Been very nice and cleaned my room, I've helped others when I could, And said please and thank you when I should.
I know you're busy this time of year, You, the elves and your reindeer, Making lists and checking them twice, Deciding who is naughty and nice, And making lots and lots of toys, For all the good girls and boys
But, On Christmas morn at half past two, I'll be waiting up for you, And I do expect to see, Johnny Depp under my tree, And if I don't see Mr Depp, I'll take a bat to your kneecaps.
Merry Christmas Big Guy. See you at 2am. © 2012 Mairead |
