MemoryA Poem by Mairead10 Years after the death of a friend.
There is a face in my memory,
Somewhere in my mind, The face has become so blurred, The details are hard to find. That laugh that I knew so well, That was always in my thoughts, Somewhere over the years, Echoed away til it got lost. A voice that was so familiar, That was once so very clear, Time has taken its toll, And I forget it more with every year. I may forget the details, But the memories will survive, And it's deep within my heart, Where I'll forever keep you alive. © 2011 Mairead |
