Best Friends.

I wrote this poem in 1999 at the age of 11 after the death of my best friend in 1997.

Best Friends 

Best Friends always togetther,
You and me best friends no matter the weather,
Cancer parted us you tried to fight it,
One of these days we will be reunited.

Playing in the fields, Playing in the snow,
Years gone by where did you go,
No more pain, no more laughter,
So many years have passed and they keep getting faster,

Oh my dear i know your gone,
I'll always remember you as i move on,
I feel like crying it makes me so sad,
You were my best friend and it just makes me mad,

Why did you die and not me,
Someone explain it i cannot see,
You were only 8 thats so young,
Your life had only just begun,
I know that your pain has ceased,
And your soul will rest in peace!
