I am that voice inside you,
Deep inside your head,
Filling you with fear,
Anxiety and dread,
Making you self conscious,
Bringing hurt and pain,
Never letting up,
Driving you insane,
I'll make you feel worthless,
Tell you nobody wants you here,
I'll zone in on your weaknesses,
Exploit your biggest fears,
I'll make you feel like you're alone,
Like nobody really cares,
That everyone is watching you,
Make you feel their icy stares,
Just waiting for the time,
That you finally crack,
That you show your vulnerability,
And they can all attack,
I'll make you hate yourself,
So you'll believe what I say,
Repeat my taunts and insults,
Every second of every day,
I'll whisper words of venom,
I'll weave a web of lies,
I'll steal all the life,
That was once in your eyes,
I'll take pleasure in your suffering,
I'll laugh at your attempts to fight,
Take that beacon of hope you've got,
And extinguish every bit of light,
I'll drag you to the bottom,
Make you live half alive,
So close to the edge,
But not enough,
At the same time,
I'm an architect of destruction,
I build with hurt and pain,
Cementing it all together,
With fear, guilt and shame,
Then I sit back,
And watch your world crumble,
As everything you love falls,
As you trip and stumble,
And as you pick up the pieces,
I'll be looking on with glee,
Cos although you are alive,
Your pitiful life belongs to me.
