This Too Shall PassA Poem by Evie Asha KiranaFree Verse poem about a perfect love, trapped in time.
We gazed out of the window,
knowing the moon would never look the same as it did that night. A perfect sphere, hanging in the sky, and bathing us in cool light. We lay speechless, and as I looked up at his face, I saw. A familiar stranger, his face laid half in shadow, half highlighted by the silvery light. Which we were melting into. He kissed me, a whisper first, that grew louder, and has left an imprint on my skin. Marking it's moment, so fleeting that it was eternally present. Between us was a perfect love, which was never given time that could destroy it. Instead it was preserved forever, no past or future, just the here and now.
