Quiet Aching

Quiet Aching

A Poem by Eve
"

there are days still when i feel the world has fallen from beneath my feet and even the one who is closest to me can't understand why i mourn, or what i am mourning. it's difficult.

"
The world is dark
and cold, today

Blanketed I hide
away and, mourn

The yawning
hole
in my chest

Oh. How it aches
and throbbs

How could I have never
noticed this absence, before?

I hear you
at the door

And see the light
spill across
 my black ocean.

With my hand
firmly in yours

I hear your voice,
"what reason do you have to cry?"

How could you ever know how my heart screams?

Author's Note

Eve
reviews are always welcome
keep in mind, i don't care to keep to the traditional poetry writing methods
i hope to touch those who have felt the same way and experience the random bouts of depression and utter sadness that occasionally pay me a visit, even in my happiest hours.
