Voyage Of Destruction.A Poem by EvelynFae
He planned his voyage a month ahead before he landed upon my shores.
His eyes set on me as an 'X' I was bewildered by his secretive determination. My coastline was humble, my sunset was beautiful but never the less I am quaint. How could such a large ship set his destination to me? I am a small island, easy to destroy. I am a small island, easy to burn. I am a small island, no one would to know if you sailed all the way here, leaving destruction behind. And that's he did to my perfect shoreline. Burned down my forests, Left only stumps. Once robust trees look like cigarette stubs. He Polluted my sea. Waves that once lapped, now only crash. They are no longer crystal blue. Why did I let him do that, you ask? For I was unaware. Months seemed like seconds. This is was pre-planned wreckage, there was nothing I could do. His shipped sailed away as the sun began to rise. Without a single goodbye, or a glimpse of an eye. I didn't even have the time to see what this pirate looked like. All I know is he ruined me. Now the sun no longer rises upon my damaged shore. My flowers don't seem to bloom anymore. My sand now only dirty. My sand now only unclean. I'm now left wondering why he chose me. My hidden, pure paradise. No longer green.
