Like Sugar

Like Sugar

A Poem by EverEmma

I'm delicate
Fragile
Like sugar
I crumble easily
In the hands
Of the ones who care for me most
You can't pick up the pieces
So you all start over
And leave me on your soles
But eventually even that slight stick
When you walk fades
And I am nothing
Until someone sees what you once saw in me
They start with only a small bit
Of what I once was
A single thought
And they begin to rebuild me
They shape my toes
And my fingers
They mold my freckled arms
With my round shoulders
They sculpt my legs
And stretch them
To make me grow
But they soon become tired
And they becomes one
She creates my pink cheeks
And chapped lips
She forms my wandering eyes,
My thick locks of chocolate brown,
And ends with my heart
Steady
Yet weak
Recovering

I like the idea you have used in this poem, a kind of Candy Girl, to be devoured by those who love you, then leaVing not a trace, till another comes along and rebuilds

Lots of good metaphors, Realy enjoyed :0)
