SidewalksA Poem by EverEmma
I remember that feeling
That warm summer night When I saw my name in lights And I realized What I was born to do I now chase that feeling Like an addict and alcohol It fuels me To keep spinning Words And stories I run after it Tripping and stumbling Sometimes falling flat on my face And staying there for a while But somehow always managing to get back up We all take this journey Some get too scraped up And stay down But not me I've stained enough sidewalks red to know That you always Feel better Once you've gotten up © 2011 EverEmmaAuthor's Note
