Emma In Wonderland

Emma In Wonderland

A Poem by EverEmma

Stones in my stomach
Finger's tips up my spine
A Chesire Cat smile

In the other direction,
My feet take me
A fleeting image of a top hat

Carnivorous rose buds
Hungry for pinky flesh
Red petals cover my dress

A Prince waits for me
Beyond the Pool of Tears
At the aisle

Into the looking glass
The continuum swallows me whole
I am losing grip,

On the man I left as a boy
I forgot him along with my past,
Of Diamond Palaces and Imagination

The world is colored Redd
I have lost my luster and shine
I hold the weight of a million lives

Four parallel scars
The first memory I allowed,
To pierce my new future

Hearts fall

Beautifully written, each word cherishes a weight of meaning that the heart follows down. Glimmering beneath the depths of a sorrowful tune there lies an unraveling story of harrowing ethereal beauty that nature implores upon, love it, wonderfully penned.

"Carnivorous rose buds
Hungry for pinky flesh"

A delicious line in a very intersting write.

Gorgeous!

Oooooh, I always loved the idea of Wonderland. It inspires me to write my own version. But I wont do that because I'd just look like a fool trying to make something as awesome as this :)
