That Evening

That Evening

A Poem by EverEmma

That summer evening, I danced in the rain

Simply happy, no fear of death or pain

Arms spread out as wide as the azure sky

Hair swirling like a hand waving goodbye

Without doubt that tomorrow’s sun will come
And that dreams are full of hidden wisdom

Raindrops as exquisite as sparkling jewels

Fell upon the ground filling small whirlpools

The stars were revealed as the clouds opened

That evening was pure, magical, destined

This poem reaches far past the lines and language in which it was written. You have utilized something beyond, and THAT, my friend, is poetry

Very good short poem. Has a lot of imagery that helps it feel longer.

Really cute poem. It has the feel of a young child being free. I like it. Great job. (:

A splendid short poem. I'm gonna give a 100 :)

But every time I read a poem that comes close to being full in prosodic order, I always wish it was so. And a poem as good as this, it'd be best if it's in perfect meter.

Keep writing :)

that was quite reminiscent of the way the florida storms were during the summer when I was younger. It took me back to simpler times when I was amazed by simple things. Thank you awesome poem one that really tickles the beauty of a rain ...
