GoneA Poem by EverEmmaI didn’t
know what to say "he was gone In a rage of
inferno, ruby red A careless
mistake, in his blue Nissan He was my
father, now his name unsaid I woke up
that morning without him here Warm coffee
next to the sweet cobbler Our brick home
was small and quite austere It was the
24th of December There was no
one on the icy dirt path Just my
daddy in his old blue Sunny Now I am the
one feeling God’s true wrath I shriek,
“Why do I live in misery?” I went to
his funeral yesterday And vowed to
love my children the same way © 2010 EverEmmaAuthor's Note
