Madness

Madness

A Poem by EverEmma

I am me
My heart is scratched
I am bruised

I ache from aching
Too tired to fall asleep
Blood stained soul

Guns fire
Breezes pick up
My hair blows

Blockage
No release valve
Leaks everywhere

My face is pale
The seas boil
Skies turn black

My dreams are coming true
Reality is blurred
Slow motion

No control
Steering wheel spinning
Eyes rolling

Aimlessly walking
Stumbling to the door
I cant escape

Madness

EverEmma
I feel so blocked, as if my mind has shut off. This is my first piece in over a month, be brutal people. I need to know the truth, no messing around. I have lost my mojo and need to get it back. Please.......help me.

It seemed forced but is still good. sometimes when I am blocked I have to walk away for a while and let myself think about other things for a while and in time something or someone will inspire me; although, I do not feel that I write is as good as what I have read of yours it helps

Describes madness really well. Well done, Em.

I like that each verse is one in itself. Yet, the whole poem kind of flows, especially with 'madness' being your last word. Great read.

Lost without Hope is always great inspiration for a poem. I was almost lost because of the "Steering wheel spinning...stumbling to the door" But you wrote of blurred reality that keeps anything out of place together. Madness! Indeed! If this is you without mojo than you shame myself as a writer lol (:
