The Impatient Storm

The Impatient Storm

A Poem by EverEmma
"

A girl with little patience waits...

"

The leaves danced

The clouds churned

I sat in my chair

Waiting for the storm

In a grassy field I wait

The wind blows

I sit and stare

They watch down on me

I glare back at them

Dark skies threaten to cry

Please rain on me

Please fall and cleanse the Earth

I am thirsty

The poem told a outstanding story. Sitting in the rain and reaching out for hope and purpose. The description in your words made this story powerful and I like the ending A lot. A excellent poem.

I like this a lot!
I paeticularly like the end stanza a lot:) The turning around of the rain nourishing the earth, then to yourself, nice work! xx

Rain can both be refreshing and detrimental ...
Patience is a virtue and worth the wait if looking
for refreshment.
