Go Now

Go Now

A Poem by Faith

Go now and lay down your troubles and your woes
Silently go to where the cotton trees grow.
Know when you're here, there's nothing to fear,
Just whispers of laughter and memories held dear.
Place a smile on your face and feel the wind hold you close,
With ease you'll gain peace or fondness and maybe, just maybe, you will find both.

Beeeutifully done, Faith!
The imagery from well-chosen words and their masterfully created imagery takes one's mind and spirit with you, into the tender sweetness of your warmly effulgent moments, as excellent poetry of this sweetly caressing genre should.
Particularly, the sensational essence of romantic affection swept through my senses in such a way I virtually felt the warmth from your heart's invitation.
Your gift is both, soothing and stirringly sensational to thought and imagination … wonderfully done, Dear Lady-Poet … warmest thanks to you! ⁓ Richard

(techy stuff from a teacher's perspective that might interest you)
For example:

Go now, lay down your trouble and woe,
silently go where the cotton trees grow.

Know when you're here, there's nothing to fear;
just whispers of laughter, of memories held dear.

Place a smile on your face, feel the wind hold you close;
with ease you'll gain peace or fondness engross,
and maybe, just maybe … you will find both.

Whatever, Faith … I (obviously) loved it! : )
