Writing you letters...

I pick up the pen and put it down again. I sigh a sigh of relief, thankful that again today my heart cannot expel these aches upon my paper. I almost had to tell the truth. I know it's coming for me. One day I will have to write those words, the ones that cut so deeply, the ones that will tear apart the wholeness I feel, believing you're still here. One day, there will be pain and sorrow, guilt and betrayal, and there will be a hole that knows no end that will simply burn. There will always be that day, one day...

I love letters. I would write them better today if someone when read. I was lucky. I lived when we communicated with pen and paper. Words on paper hold great value. I enjoyed the poem. Made me think of old letters and letters I should of wrote. Thank you Faith for sharing your excellent poetry.

It is like taking the "red pill" in the Matrix movie. Once we accept and acknowledge the truth, it is painful. But it sets us free to follow our path and find that there are better people who deserve our companionship and value our love. 💕💃
