BLAME YOU

BLAME YOU

A Poem by Evans

My name is Matano Matano,
I am a member of parliament,
I love God,for He gives me life,
And love my people, for they give me lots of votes.
If I haven't done anything for them,
God knows it's not my fault...
I would have built many roads,
only the place is all hilly.
I would have brought water,
but doesn't it rain everyday?
If my car ever splashed dirty on anyone,
My driver is my witness,a Mercedes can't fly!
As for the cases of insecurity,
My four bodyguards are my witnesses,
upon my soul, I pray for my people every night!
My people,I would have given you electricity,
like the one in my villa,
but how would I live with myself,
if one of you died of electric shock?
And for all I have done,do I ask for much? No!
Five more years...Only!
