Corpses

Corpses

A Poem by Evangelis
"

was bored and i dunno if its that great but comment would be nice anyway :D

"

Corpses everywhere

No way to escape

This impending fate

No moonlight to illuminate

The path that lies before me

Supposedly leading to a world beyond this hate

Everywhere I turn they are watching

Eyes full of malice

For I am still alive

The calluses upon their hands

Long peeled from their bones

Names carved onto stones

Their corpses buried deep in the lands

There they lie awaiting the night

From which they shall rise from the ground

My own personal hell

In which my body will be found

As they linger in the shadows

I try to run away from them…

Corpses…

Corpses…

Flesh falling from their bones

As their skeletal fingers reach out to caress my face

I don’t belong in this place!

Corpses…

Corpses…

All around me

Touching me

I can’t escape

The dawn is coming

But it will be too late

They want me

And that will be my fate

They moan throughout the graveyard

Waiting to take life

With only a single bite

Where is that angel of mine who was suppose to guard

My soul

No longer are they corpses

But some kind of monster in the night

As dawn breaks over the horizon

They pile upon each other

Under them I lie

Life suffocated from my body

I utter one last sigh before I join the monsters of the night

Everything changes as time moves on, everyday may be new, but the past still remains in the minds of all who lived it, but don't let it consume you until you feel nothing else but the pain of the past.. more..
