Never Forget

Never Forget

A Poem by Evangelis

Never forget what life use to be

Never forget how much you loved me

Those starless nights alone with you

When the ocean was blue

The sand beneath my feet

Was washed away by the tide

The ocean is gray and I have gone astray

From all that I once knew

Waves crush my hopes of surviving

I feel the pain from the past

I wish I had known nothing could ever last

I hope you never forget the day we met

I still wish you could be mine

Though it’s only a fleeting dream now and then

That fades away when I cry again

But never forget I wanted you

I keep remembering all those days that have gone by

All the times I wished I could have cried and had you by my side

To tell me once again why I'm still alive or where I’m suppose to go

Cause only you would know

I wish I could write of the happy times

But I can’t think of anything that rhymes

All I can think of is how much I really need your arms around me

'Cause you set my heart free and around you I knew who I was suppose to be

I try to forget your face so I can find my place

But I still love you and that’s something I can’t erase

And ill never forget how the sun use to shine

When I was yours and you were mine

This is really nice. I like the incorporation of the ocean in the first three stanzas.
