My Notebook

My Notebook

A Poem by Evan Kleve

My notebook sits
On my bedside table
A pen on the top
Waiting to be free

Free to write my thoughts for me
And let my emotions flow
Through the tip
When I need to get them out

Because I can't speak them
For one reason or another
Whether it be embarrassment
Or fear

Free to take my dreams
My wishes
My needs
Those I haven't told any one else

Because they wouldn't understand
For one reason or another
Whether it be immaturity
Or stupidity

My notebook is personal
Because I've confided to it
What no one else should see

You guys, I need some help. I'm not sure what I want the last line to be. Suggestions?

the title isn't as interesting as the poem.
the beautiful thing about this poem is the honesty, the authenticity.

Umm... I think the last line should be along the lines of:
"What no one else should see
Is still a part of me." or something like that.
This is a nice poem, even though its missing the last line :P

how about sum it up like

"What no one else should see
stays in my heart, as me"

Personally, I would leave the poem as it is. It has lots of mystery about it, whereas that's ruined if you add an unnecessary line to the end. However, if you find the perfect fit, it will click. Oh, by the way, would you like to join my group? You can find it on my page... I think. I'm not very tech-savvy.

Firstly, I can absolutely relate to this poem. Writing in a small notebook, so no one else can see. Because you live in a world of words no one else could understand. This was very nicely written, and really nice to read. Excellent! :)

I think you should leave it as it is because it gives the poem a mysterious and amazing ending. :) *That's just my opinion* So, I really liked this writing. :)
